The module addresses how legal protection can be developed and applied in terms of Environmental (planet), Economic (profit) and Sociocultural (people) Sustainability.
From the evolution of sustainability in fashion and textiles in terms of Circular economy in respect of the environment to Supply chain, through disputes and legal implications related to identity and cultural appropriation.

  1. “Sustainability" definition in fashion and textile industries;
  2. Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability management: environmental, social and economic issues and their legal implications;
  3. The EU regulation: the EU Green Deal and the EU Textile Strategy;
  4. Supply Chain management: transparency and traceability;
  5. The pre-consumer product cycle: Design, production, Sales & Distribution;
  6. Cultural Heritage and Cultural appropriation;
  7. The post-consumer product cycle: Storage, Shipping, Return;
  8. New technologies fostering sustainable fashion: artificial intelligence, wearable technologies, virtual sampling;
  9. End of life and End of Waste: closing the loop;
  10. Measuring sustainability: environmental and social impact assessments in the fashion and textile sector;
  11. Trademarks, certifications and indicators: implications of IP assets for sustainable fashion;
  12. The risks related to “green claims”: greenwashing, pink washing, rainbow washing.

Project focus /Case history (by NABA):
  1. Agenda 2030: sustainable development goals, parameters, indicators and certifications.
