These video-lectures enable students to acquire the tools to understand the development of the digital economy and European strategy, including by specific analysis of the most current issues under discussion: from covid-19 tracking apps to mass surveillance and algorithmic decision-making, which will have an ever-increasing impact on the rights, digital or otherwise, of citizens. After engaging with the contents presented in this course, including the associated exercises, readings and multimedia material, the student should be able to demonstrate an awareness and proficiency in the various topics. |

These lectures analyze through the lens of democracy and digital rights guarantees the regulatory challenges posed by technology and the strategy and subsequent applications undertaken at the national and European level. |
